Country Club Dr., Mesa, Arizona 85210 Dear Alecia Jackson, Congratulations! Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign is pleased to award a grant of $1,500.00 to Maricopa County Head Start. The purpose of this grant is to support the implementation of Cooking Matters programming, as described in your proposal. Due to the high quantity and quality of applications, we are unable to fully fund most proposals. If you are unable to implement proposed outcomes listed in your application with the funds awarded, please contact GrantsHelpDesk@strength.org prior to signing the award letter. Funding for this grant is generously supported by the Walmart Foundation. Using Grant Funds Grant funds may only be used for the budget items you outlined in your application. Programming is intended for low-income families only, and must be offered at no charge to all participants. Budget changes may be requested in advance, in writing, to Share Our Strength by emailing GrantsHelpDesk@strength.org with your organization’s name and budget request. Significant changes in projected or actual programming or improper or unauthorized use of grants funds may result in a request to return all or part of the grant funds. Grant Period It is our understanding that you will report on your program at the end of one full calendar year from the award date of this letter, due on May 30, 2018. Please reach out to your Cooking Matters program or grant contact if you encounter challenges or delays starting your program on time, meeting your grant objectives, or spending the grant funds before the end of the grant year. Reporting Requirements By accepting these grant funds, you agree to provide us with a one-time report following your grant period accessible via the No Kid Hungry Online Grants Portal. Please also report on your programming, including participation and course and/or tour schedule, through the Cooking Matters Portal/Database within 7 days of the end-date of each course/tour. All partners must also sign a partnership agreement with Share Our Strength. Program Training Those implementing Cooking Matters for the first time are required to participate in online training. If your organization or person(s) responsible for Cooking Matters delivery has not implemented Cooking Matters previously, please check your email for a separate notification on registering for trainings and use of Cooking Matters online resources. Changes in Programming & Public Charity Status Please immediately notify Share Our Strength of any change in your public charity status. This grant is contingent on your organization’s ability to implement the objectives as outlined in your proposal. If your organization encounters difficulties in implementing any of the programs, please reach out to your program or grant contact at Share Our Strength. Grantees who are no longer tax-exempt or are unable to implement their grant are required to notify Share Our Strength and return the funds.
