CALL OF ELECTION
The Board of Directors of Maricopa County Municipal Water Conservation District
Number One hereby calls for an election to be held for the office of Director, Division No. 2 on
Tuesday, November 15, 2016.
Nominating petitions can be filed by a candidate at the District offices, located at 14825 W.
Grand Avenue, Surprise, AZ 85374 anytime between Monday, July 18, 2016 and Wednesday,
August 17, 2016.
Write-in candidate nomination papers can be filed by a candidate at the District offices,
located at 14825 W. Grand Avenue, Surprise, AZ 85374 no later than October 6, 2016.
A nominating petition signed by ten or more qualified electors in the District can be filed
by a candidate at the District offices, located at 14825 W. Grand Avenue, Surprise, AZ 85374
no later than November 7, 2016.
The polls will be open at 8:00 a.m. and will close at 6:00 p.m. The polling place shall be

RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
MARICOPA COUNTY MUNICIPAL WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT NUMBER ONE
CALLING FOR THE ANNUAL ELECTION OF DIRECTOR(S)
WHEREAS, the law governing the formation and operation of irrigation districts within the State
of Arizona calls for an annual election to be held on the second Tuesday after the first Monday of
November in the District in which the term of office of Director, Division Number Two expires
on the 31' day of December, 2016; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with A.R.S. § 16-226(A), nonpartisan elections must be called no
later than one hundred twenty days before the date of holding the election.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that in accordance with the provisions of law, the
Board of Directors of Maricopa County Municipal Water Conservation District Number One
("MWD") hereby calls for the November 15, 2016, election of director to be held; and
FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Directors of MWD authorizes and directs staff
to take such actions as are necessary to cause the November 15, 2016, election to be properly
noticed and held; and
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the MWD Board of Directors this 14 th day of June,
2016.
