The funds of this grant will be used to continue our established contract with our current SPED provider. This vendor provides our students
with the needed SPED services, such as speech, Classroom support, one-on-one instruction, inclusion support for teachers, and emotional
support programming to name some. Our contract also includes administrative services, such as IEPs, METS and staying in compliance
with State and Federal Law.

1. Describe how the 2017 IDEA Secure Care Grant funds will impact incarcerated/detained students wrth disabilities at your facility (indude priorities, capital requests
and any pertinent information on how these federal funds will enhance your special education programming).
For FY 2017 we have $714.20 in carryover funds from FY 2016 that will be used for secure care activities. We are now in a position to use "
the computers and the various instructional programs to the benefit of our special needs students. Providing them with Special Education
Services in the past has been a challenge due to the fact that hiring and retaining qualified SPED services has been and is exceedingly
difficu~.
