Action Requested:
Approve, and authorize the Chairman to execute Amendment No. 3 to Government Lease No. L-
7445 with the City of Phoenix, as Lessor, for County’s use of office and counter space at 200
West Washington Street, 2nd Floor, Phoenix, Arizona, and approve and authorize County to lease
an additional 36 square feet of space on the 3rd floor of this building for the County’s installation of
a free-standing interactive Maricopa County Recorder’s Office Kiosk.
Board required information:
The County currently leases 60 square feet of office and counter space at Phoenix City Hall,
where Environmental Service and Air Quality Departments intake, review and process permits
and applications. The current lease will expire January 31, 2017. Amendment No. 3 will expand
the Leased Premises to include an additional 36 square feet of space to allow for County’s
installation and maintenance of the Kiosk for use by City of Phoenix staff and the public. The
Amendment will also extend the term of the Lease by three (3) years through January 31, 2020
and will have two (2) options to renew for two (2) additional years each. The revised annual lease
fee for the subject office lease is $2,400.00 per year.
