Canvass of election; postponements Per the The governing body of a special district as defined in title 48 shall present to the board of supervisors a certified copy of the official canvass of the election as described in section 16 -673 the Chandler Heights Citrus Irrigation District held a gathering to canvass the returns of the ballots from our District land owners votes. There were 924 ballots mailed out to our District land owners. 25 ballots were returned as "undeliverable". The office attempted to redeliver 10 ballots sent back in a reasonable time before the election (researched & found new addresses). The 116 ballots received at the Chandler Heights Citrus Irrigation District: 6 were counted "invalid" due to marking errors or no marks. The remaining 110 were for the 2 candidates. The Chandler Heights Citrus Irrigation District of the Board therefore deems this election as valid and declares the candidate (Vance R Godwin) the winner.
