Jefferson, 10th Floor, Phoenix, AZ 85003, with the following members present: Clint Hickman, Chairman, District 4; Andy Kunasek, Vice Chairman, District 3; Denny Barney, District 1; Steve Chucri, District 2; and Steve Gallardo, District 5 (entered late). Also present: Deb Schaffer, Deputy Clerk of the Board; Joy Rich, County Manager and Michelle Wood, Legal Counsel. Minutes compiled by Lori Medaris, Minutes Coordinator. Votes of the Members will be recorded as follows: aye-nay-absent-abstain. ACTION Clerk of the Board 1. SPECIAL EVENT LICENSE FOR MESA UNITED WAY Pursuant to A.R.S. § 4-203.02, approve a Special Event Liquor License Application filed by William R. James for Mesa United Way at 1548 Leisure World, Mesa, Arizona 85206 to be held on Saturday, November 19, 2016 from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm. (Supervisorial District 2) (C-06-17-207-L- 00) Motion to approve by Supervisor Chucri, seconded by Supervisor Barney Ayes: Hickman, Kunasek, Chucri, Barney Absent: Gallardo ~ Supervisor Gallardo entered the meeting ~ Sheriff 2. TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP OF RETIRING K-9 Approve the transfer of ownership of retiring K-9 Bo, #K108, to his handler Deputy Christopher Dauch #S1356. Bo is nine (9) years old and has continuing medical concerns which have resulted in performance decline and increased veterinary costs. Approval of this action allows Bo to spend his retirement in the custody of his handler. EXECUTIVE SESSION Vote to convene in Executive Session to consider items on the Executive Agenda dated November 14, 2016, for Board of Supervisors and relevant Special Districts pursuant to statutory authority listed for each item.
