AMENDMENT No. 2 TO THE INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE HOUSING AUTHORITY
OF MARICOPA COUNTY AND MARICOPA COUNTY ADMINISTERED BY ITS HUMAN SERVICES
DEPARTMENT FOR THE ADMINSTRATION OF THE FAMILY SELF-SUFFICIENCY PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of Maricopa County (HAMC) and the Maricopa County Human Services
Department (MCHSD) entered into an Intergovernmental Agreement to administer the Family Self-
Sufficiency (FSS) program on January 1, 2015; and
WHEREAS, the goal of the FSS program is to move individuals and families off of public assistance; and
WHEREAS, MCHSD is able to facilitate improved coordination and collaboration with community service
programs for FSS participants; and
WHEREAS, the intent of this Amendment is to extend the contract term from December 31, 2016 to
December 31, 2017 and increase the contract amount from $103,212 to $172,212.
NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Commissioners of the Housing Authority of Maricopa County hereby
adopts Resolution 16-024 and approves Amendment No. 2 to the Intergovernmental Agreement and
associated Contract Budget between Housing Authority of Maricopa County and Maricopa County Human
Services Department for the administration of the HAMC Family Self-Sufficiency Program effective January
1, 2017.
