This notice serves as our formal request to cancel the biennial election that was to be held on
November 15, 2016. In accordance with A.R.S. 16-410 (A), the District seeks approval from the
Maricopa County Board of Supervisors to have the election cancelled. There is only one seat on
the board for San Tan Irrigation District available. Brett White submitted the petition on August
11th 2016, and was the only petitioner.
We are requesting that the cancelation of the election by put on the agenda for the meeting of
the Supervisors on November 2, 2016.
The STID would like to appoint Brett White who is duly qualified for the office of Director to
which he has been nominated for the term January 1, 2017 to December 31, 2019.
