AMENDMENT
TO THE AGREEMENT
BETWEEN
MARICOPA COUNTY
ADMINISTERED BY ITS
HUMAN SERVICES DEPARTMENT
AND
SCOTTSDALE UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT
Maricopa County (“County”) by and through the Maricopa County Human Services Department and
Scottsdale Unified School District (“District”) entered into a financial Contract on or about June 24,
2015 for full service food catering to Head Start program participants. The County and the District may
be referred to individually as “Party” or collectively as “Parties.”
The Contract term is August 1, 2015 to September 30, 2016. The Parties executed Amendment No. 1 on
or about May 4, 2016 to increase the funding amount. The Parties wish to amend the Agreement as
follows:
I. Increase funding amount by $88,975 from $436,793 to $552,768 as follows:
1. $54,600 for Early Head Start program
2. $34,375 for Head Start program
II. The Amendment shall be effective upon approval and signature by both parties.
III. The foregoing paragraphs contain all the changes to the Agreement. All other terms and
conditions of the original Agreement as amended and approved remain the in full force and
effect and as agreed to by the Parties. No other understanding, oral or otherwise, regarding the
subject matter of the Agreement shall be deemed to exist or to bind any Party hereto. Nothing in
the Agreement shall be construed as consent to any lawsuit or waiver of any defense in a lawsuit
brought against the State of Arizona, County, or the District in any State or federal court.
IV. This amendment is subject to termination pursuant to the provisions of A.R.S. § 38-511.
