Jefferson Street, Phoenix, AZ 85003, with the following members present: Clint Hickman, Chairman, District 4; and Andrew Kunasek, Vice Chairman, District 3. Absent: Denny Barney, District 1; Steve Chucri, District 2; and Steve Gallardo, District 5. Also present: Fran McCarroll, Clerk of the Board; Lori Medaris, Minutes Coordinator; Joy Rich, County Manager; and Michelle Wood, Legal Counsel. OFFICE OF MANAGEMENT AND BUDGET 1. ADOPTION OF THE MARICOPA COUNTY FY 2017 BUDGET The Office of Management and Budget in coordination with the County Manager recommends to the Board of Supervisors the following: (C-49-16-039-2-00) 1) Adopt the FY 2017 Budget in the amount of $2,356,007,976 by total appropriation for each department, fund and function class listed in the attached schedules. This amount represents no change from the FY 2017 Tentative Budget of $2,356,007,976, except those minor modifications as noted in the public hearing. 2) Approve the attached Executive Summary. Motion by Supervisor Kunasek to adopt the FY 2017 Budget in the amount of $2,356,007,976 and the attached Executive Summary. This amount represents no change from the FY 2017 Tentative Budget except those minor modifications as noted in the public hearing. Motion seconded by Supervisor Gallardo. Ayes: Hickman, Kunasek, Barney, Chucri, Gallardo Special Meeting Minutes Monday, June 20, 2016 Page 2 of 6 MEETING RECESSED Chairman Hickman recessed the Board of Supervisors to convene as the Board of Directors of the various Special Districts. MEETING RECONVENED Chairman Hickman reconvened as the Board of Supervisors. EXECUTIVE SESSION Vote to convene in Executive Session to consider the items on the Executive Agenda dated June 20, 2016, for Board of Supervisors and relevant Special Districts pursuant to statutory authority listed for each item. Motion to convene in Executive Session by Supervisor Barney, seconded by Supervisor Chucri. ADOPTION OF THE COUNTY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICTS FY 2017 BUDGETS Pursuant to A.R.S. §48-954 and §42-17105, adopt the Fiscal Year 2017 Budgets for the County Improvement Districts per the FY 2017 Budget Schedules entitled “Direct Assessment Special Districts” and “Street Lighting Improvement Districts.” (C-49-16-048-2- 00) Motion by Supervisor Kunasek to adopt the FY 2017 Budgets for the County Improvement Districts per the FY 2017 Budget Schedules entitled “Direct Assessment Special Districts” and “Street Lighting Improvement Districts.” Motion seconded by Supervisor Barney. ADOPTION OF THE FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT FY 2017 BUDGET Adopt the Flood Control District Fiscal Year 2017 Budget in the amount of $109,947,047 by total appropriation for each fund and function class for the Flood Control District. (C-49-16- 043-2-00) Motion by Supervisor Gallardo to adopt the Flood Control District FY 2017 Budgets in the amount of $109,947,047. This amount represents no increase from the FY 2017 Tentative Budget. Motion seconded by Supervisor Kunasek. This amount represents an $8,500 increase from the FY 2017 Tentative Budget of $26,274,950. (C-49-16-046-2-00) Motion by Supervisor Barney to adopt the Library District FY 2017 Budget in the amount of $26,283,450. This amount represents an $8,500 increase from the FY 2017 Tentative Budget. Motion seconded by Supervisor Chucri.
