1. Approximate area (acres or square ft.) needed, and approximate dimensions
a. Approximately 150’x100’ (15,000sqft) for helicopter operations
b. Approximately 50’x30’ (1,500sqft) for vehicle parking
2. Planned use of the area (temp. storage of construction materials, vehicle parking, etc.)
a. Landing Zone will be for construction activities only.
b. We will not be staging anything overnight; staging area will be cleared at the end
of each day of helicopter operations.
c. Only work required for that day will be at staging area
d. Parking area will have crew vehicles for those working on the mesa top parked
from M-F each construction week
3. Will we be operating a forklift or other equipment there?
a. Not full time, only when/if needed to transfer from delivery trucks to lift location.
4. How will vehicles circulate (delivery trucks, etc.). Draw diagram if necessary.
a. Vehicles will travel in and out as needed. Vehicle traffic will center in and out of
the transfer area (50’x100’, included in the 150’x100’ requested). See attached
drawing.
b. Vehicles will not be allowed into the staging area during actual lift operations
over the staging area.
c. Portions of the existing fencing will be removed to allow for vehicle access to the
requested area. Fence to be returned to “as found” condition at completion of
activities.
5. Helicopter operations and requirements (distance from power lines, etc.)
a. Helicopter will need approximately 100’ from any power line.
6. Will helicopter or trucks/equipment be fueled there?
a. This area will be used to fuel and do any maintenance on the helicopter.
b. Fuel truck will not remain at the Staging area after helicopter operations have
completed for the day.
7. Access from I-17 via Table Mesa Road
a. Exit from I-17 from either the North or South bound lanes.
b. Exist from North Bound I 17 at Table Mesa Road, proceed to the stop sign, take a
right (east) onto Table Mesa Road, travel less than ½ mile to the staging area
entrance on the left (north) side of Table Mesa Road.
c. Exist from South Bound I 17 at Table Mesa Road, proceed to the stop sign, take a
left (east) onto Table Mesa Road, travel less than ½ mile to the staging area
entrance on the left (north) side of Table Mesa Road.
8. Will it be fenced?
a. Nothing will be staged overnight
b. Staging area will be manned during staging operations
c. There is no plan to fence the site at this time.
d. The existing fence will be rolled back to create an entrance to the staging area. A
temporary gate could be installed if requested. Once Helicopter Operations have
ceased, the existing fence will be restored to its original fence line.
9. Anything else you feel helps to describe the way the area will be used.
a. Staging area will be used as needed during days we plan to use the helicopter.
Those days will include most Monday and Fridays weekly. Weeks that we plan
to do Concrete and fly up/down material will have a little more traffic. ADW will

ensure that nothing is left at the staging when the area is not being used for
construction.
b. Traffic control will be provided in the form of flagmen on either side of the
approach on Table Mesa road. Traffic will be halted during overhead flights,
landings/takeoffs and delivery vehicle maneuvers in and out of transfer location.
c. Water trailer will be onsite to control dust at staging and transfer areas
d. No grading across the area is proposed. Only transitions points from table mesa
road onto the proposed staging and transfer areas.
e. Vegetation is planned to be cut back but not removed (except for one shrub, see
attached drawing) to allow for re-growth.
