RESOLUTION 16-017
APPOINTMENT OF JEFFREY A. SCHWARTZ TO THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF MARICOPA COUNTY
ADVISORY COMMITTEE FOR A TERM TO EXPIRE ON JUNE 30, 2018
WHEREAS, the bylaws of the Advisory Committee of the Housing Authority of Maricopa County (Advisory
Committee) state that the Advisory Committee shall be comprised of at least eight (8), but not more than
(10) members; and
WHEREAS, each member of the Housing Authority Board of Commissioners shall appoint one (1) member;
the Maricopa County Manager shall appoint at least one (1), but not more than two (2) members; the
Housing Authority Board of Commissioners shall appoint at least one (1) but not more than two (2)
eligible resident committee members who must be a Housing Authority of Maricopa County Public
Housing resident and/or a Housing Authority Housing Choice Voucher recipient in good standing as
required by federal law; and there shall be one (1) non-voting member appointed by the County Manager
who is a current Maricopa County employee who administers CDBG/HOME grants; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Article II, Section 1 Membership of the Housing Authority of Maricopa County
Advisory Committee Bylaws, beginning July 1, 2015, Advisory Committee terms where extended to two
(2) years; and
WHEREAS, at this time the Housing Authority Board of Commissioners wish to appoint Jeffrey A. Schwartz
to the Advisory Committee for a two-year term expiring on June 30, 2018.
NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT RESOLVED, the Board of Commissioners of the Housing Authority of Maricopa County hereby adopts
Resolution No. 16-017 and appoints Jeffrey A. Schwartz to the Housing Authority of Maricopa County
Advisory Committee for a two-year term effective upon Board approval and expiring on June 30, 2018.
