Re: Public Safety Cancer Insurance Policy Program
HB2074 was signed by the governor and becomes effective on August 6, 2016. This bill expands
eligibility for the Public Safety Cancer Insurance Policy Program to include probation officers and
various other members of the Correctional Officer Retirement Plan. It is my understanding that
this program is at no cost to the court or the county because the eligible employee who opts for the
coverage is responsible for the cost of participating in the program. Please take any steps necessary
to offer the Public Safety Cancer Insurance to any eligible employees of the Judicial Branch in
Maricopa County.
