Dear Deputy Chief Chagolla:
On behalf of the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), I welcome the Maricopa County
Sheriff’s Office to renew its partnership with our Project ChildSafe national firearm safety
education program. NSSF launched Project ChildSafe more than 15 years ago as a program to
educate gun owners on the importance of proper firearm storage and to provide free gun locks to
communities through partnerships with law enforcement agencies like yours.
In the years since MCSO first partnered with Project ChildSafe, we have streamlined the process
by which law enforcement partners can participate and order locks for their communities.
Simply fill out the form available online at www.projectchildsafe.org/for-law-enforcement.
There are no additional requirements for your continued participation, and MSCO has no
lingering obligations from the original agreement. Simply fill out the form online and the locks
should arrive in a few weeks. You also will receive in a separate shipment supplemental
materials such as a lock display box, poster and other gun safety materials. We also invite you to
make use of our complete library of safety resources, available at
www.projectchildsafe.org/safety/safety-resources.
Thank you for your continued support of Project ChildSafe.
Sincerely,
Bill Brassard Jr.
