The billings for these homes will be reimbursed by the end of May. The total amount spent in Year I. is $184,500. Based on our first year of experience with the program, we are respectfully requesting changes to the purchase order for Year Two, We would like to carry over unspent funds from year one and increase the number of units in year two from 12 to 16. None of the units proposed will have total rehabilitation costs less than $24,999. The reduction in the Year Two goal total, from 24 to 19, results from the fact that the costs of rehabilitation projects are higher than anticipated. And since the disability income of the majority of applicants is higher than the general population of people on fixed incomes, we have only found one client of the first nine where we have been able to combine the funds from this program with other sources available to us. The requested amount represents the amount we expect to carry over as well as the new funds originally budgeted for Year 2. We are confident that we can meet this revised Year 2 goal of completing 16 home's and expending $1, 065,296, The Intent is to schedule work so that the last rehabilitation contract begins by the end of January 2016 so that all costs will be reimbursed by the end of May 2016. Please see the attached revised Year 2 Cost Sheet for the revised costs and goals. We appreciate your consideration of these proposed changes.
