WATER DELIVERY DISTRICT NO. 58 )
WHEREAS, an impact statement was presented to the Board of Supervisors pursuant to
A.R.S. § 48-261, 48-263, 48-3423 and § 48-3424, proposing the organization of the RANCHO
DEL MONTE IRRIGATION WATER DELIVERY DISTRICT NO. 58; and
WHEREAS, the impact statement contained a legal description of the boundaries of the
proposed district; a map of the proposed district; an estimate of the assessed valuation within the
proposed district, an estimate of the change in property tax liability, a list and explanation of
benefits and injuries that will result from the proposed district, the names, addresses, and
occupations of the proposed members of the organizing Board of Trustees; and a description of
the scope of services to be provided by the district during the first five years of operation; and
WHEREAS, the proposed district includes property located within an incorporated city
and the governing body of the City of Phoenix has by ordinance or resolution endorsed the
creation of said Irrigation Water Delivery District; and
WHEREAS, land included in the proposed district is also within Salt River Project
Agricultural Improvement District, whose Board of Governors has given written consent to the
formation of said Irrigation Water Delivery District; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors determined the creation of the district will
promote public health, comfort, convenience, necessity or welfare and approved the impact
statement at a hearing held on October 21, 2015, authorizing the circulation of petitions; and
WHEREAS, signed petitions were presented pursuant to A.R.S. § 48-3422, proposing
the organization of the RANCHO DEL MONTE IRRIGATION WATER DELIVERY
DISTRICT NO. 58; and
WHEREAS, the petitions, as certified by the Maricopa County Assessor’s Office, were
signed by a majority of the owners of the acreage within the proposed district; and

WHEREAS, a public hearing was held regarding the petitions on March 9, 2016 and the
Board of Supervisors heard and considered those persons appearing in favor of and against the
formation of the proposed district; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors declared its intent to organize the district with the
boundaries proposed in the petition; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on April 6, 2016 and no sufficient written protest
against the organization of the district was filed by the owners of a majority of the acreage within
the district pursuant to A.R.S. § 48-3424; and
NOW THEREFORE IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the RANCHO DEL MONTE
IRRIGATION WATER DELIVERY DISTRICT NO. 58 is hereby declared organized; and
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that Linda Phillips, Margaret Solares and John Curtis
are hereby appointed as the Board of Trustees to serve until the first biennial election and until
their successors are elected and qualified; and
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the boundaries of the said RANCHO DEL
MONTE IRRIGATION WATER DELIVERY DISTRICT NO. 58 are declared as
detailed in Exhibit A attached.
