Jefferson, Phoenix, Arizona, with the following members present Denny Barney, District 1; Steve Chucri, District 2; Andrew Kunasek, District 3 (entered late); Clint Hickman, District 4. Absent: Steve Gallardo, District 5 (entered late). Also present: Constance Copeland, Deputy Clerk of the Board; Tom Manos, County Manager and Michelle Wood, Legal Counsel. BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OPEN SESSION NOTE: Agenda item #3 was taken out of order and heard before agenda item #1. ~ Supervisor Kunasek entered late ~ 3. SPECIAL EVENT LICENSE FOR SOUTHWEST WILDLIFE CONSERVATION CENTER Pursuant to A.R.S. § 4-203.02, approve a Special Event Liquor License Application filed by Jamil Peter Coury for Southwest Wildlife Conservation Center at McDowell Mountain Regional Park at 16300 McDowell Mountain Park Drive, Fountain Hills, Arizona 85264 to be held on Saturday, December 5, 2015 from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm. (Supervisorial District 2) (C-06-16-246-L-00) Motion to approve by Supervisor Hickman, seconded by Supervisor Barney Ayes: Chucri, Hickman, Barney Absent: Kunasek, Gallardo RECESS Special Meeting Minutes Wednesday, November 18, 2015 Page 2 of 3 Chairman Chucri recessed the Open Session to convene in Executive Session. 1. EXECUTIVE SESSION Vote to convene in Executive Session to consider the items on the Special Executive Agenda dated November 18, 2015, for Board of Supervisors and relevant Special Districts pursuant to the statutory authority listed for each item. Motion to approve by Supervisor Hickman, seconded by Supervisor Barney Ayes: Chucri, Hickman, Barney, Kunasek Absent: Gallardo RECESS/RECONVENE After discussion on item #1 on the Executive Session agenda Chairman Chucri recessed the Executive Session and reconvened in Open Session. ~ Supervisor Gallardo entered the meeting ~ OPEN SESSION BOARD OF SUPERVISORS 2. USA V. MARICOPA, COUNTY OF, ET AL., CV-12-00981-PHX-ROS AND RELATED MATTERS Consideration and possible action authorizing an appeal of the District Court's Amended Judgment in USA v. Maricopa, County of, et al., CV-12-00981-PHX-ROS. This matter was considered in executive session on November 18, 2015. (C-06-16-247-M-00) Motion to approve by Supervisor Hickman, seconded by Supervisor Kunasek Ayes: Chucri, Hickman, Barney, Kunasek, Gallardo NOTE: Agenda item #3 was taken out of order and heard prior to the following agenda item, #1. 3.
