SIGNIFICANT AMENDMENT AND SUBMISSION OF THE 2015-2020 PUBLIC HOUSING AGENCY PLAN,
ANNUAL PERIOD 2015-2016 (VERSION 2) TO THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN
DEVELOPMENT
WHEREAS, the Public Housing Agency Plan is a comprehensive guide to public housing agency (PHA)
policies, programs, operations, and strategies for meeting local housing needs and goals; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the Housing Authority of Maricopa County are required by the
U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to certify, by resolution, that the Board
approves the submission of the Housing Authority of Maricopa County PHA Annual Plans; and
WHEREAS, 2015-2020 Agency Plan Annual Period 2015-2016 (dated April 2015) was approved by the Board
of Commissioners by Resolution 15-008 on April 8, 2015; and
WHEREAS, a significant amendment entitled Rental Assistance Demonstration Portfolio Conversion
Summary will be incorporated in its entirety into the 2015-2020 Agency Plan Annual Period 2015-2016
(Version 2). This amendment is necessary to provide additional information as required by HUD PIH Notice
2012-32, REV-1 and any successor Notices and Guidelines concerning HAMC’s Rental Assistance
Demonstration portfolio conversion plans from public housing to project-based assistance.
NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT RESOLVED, the Board of Commissioners of the Housing Authority of Maricopa County hereby adopts
Resolution No. 16-005 and authorizes submission of the Housing Authority of Maricopa County 2015-2020
Agency Plan Annual Period 2015-2016 (Version 2) to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development.
