Central Ave., 8th Floor, Phoenix, AZ 85003, with the following members present: Steve Chucri, Chairman, District 2; Clint Hickman, Vice Chairman, District 4; Denny Barney, District 1. Absent: Andrew Kunasek, District 3; Steve Gallardo, District 5. Also present: Fran McCarroll, Clerk of the Board; Tom Manos, County Manager; and Michelle Wood, Legal Counsel. EMPLOYEE SERVICE AWARD RECOGNITION EVENT Present the employees who have provided 30, 35, and 40 years of service to Maricopa County with recognition awards. MaryEllen Sheppard, Assistant County Manager, opened the ceremony and introduced the elected officials and executive leadership present. Chairman Chucri spoke to the recipients and family members present and expressed his thoughts about how important families can be in the success of a career and the speed of time passing. He acknowledged that employees such as these illustrate a true partnership between the County and its employees. He offered his sincere thanks and congratulated each for their accomplishment. Ms. Sheppard continued the ceremony acknowledging staff and the efforts involved to make this a successful event. She introduced a video presentation commemorating the growth of Maricopa County and then Andy Mesquita, Deputy Director of Human Resources. Mr. Mesquita presented service recognition awards to the following employees who had photos taken with the Board of Supervisors, their department heads and supervisors.
