Your file: AB285 (Application to abandon County Road and Alley)
Mr. Green:
ADOT has reviewed the above-referenced abandonment application for real property situated in the Nadaburg
Townsite, in proximity of Pine Street and Oak Street, along US60 in unincorporated Maricopa County.
While it is standard for abutting owners to obtain title to lands involved with such abandonment actions, please
be advised that ADOT does NOT wish to obtain title to their 'A of the strip which would result from the
abandonment of the 20' alley, paralleling US60 (Grand Ave.). At this location, US60 has been improved to its
ultimate condition, and the 10' strip would create an unnecessary maintenance burden on ADOT. Accordingly,
ADOT supports abandoning the strip to the abandonment applicant.
