BOARD OF SUPERVISORS The Board of Supervisors of Maricopa County, Phoenix, Arizona, convened in Special Session at 8:00 AM on Wednesday, May 27, 2015, in the Sullivan Conference Room, 301 W. Jefferson, 10th Floor, Phoenix, AZ 85003, with the following members present: Steve Chucri, Chairman, District 2; Clint Hickman, Vice Chairman, District 4; Denny Barney, District 1 (entered late); Andrew Kunasek, District 3; Steve Gallardo, District 5. Also present: Fran McCarroll, Clerk of the Board; Tom Manos, County Manager; and Michelle Wood, Legal Counsel. Minutes compiled by Lori Medaris, Minutes Coordinator. 1. EXECUTIVE SESSION Vote to convene in Executive Session to consider the items on the Special Executive Agenda dated May 27, 2015, for Board of Supervisors and relevant Special Districts pursuant to the statutory authority listed for each item. Motion was made by Supervisor Hickman, seconded by Supervisor Kunasek and unanimously carried to convene in Executive Session (4-0-1). ~ Supervisor Barney entered the Executive Session during the Melendres v. Arpaio item. ~ Special Meeting Agenda Wednesday, May 27, 2015 Page 2 of 2 OPEN SESSION 2. POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING MELENDRES V. ARPAIO, ET AL., CV07-2513 Take action consistent with the direction given in Executive Session, May 27, 2015, regarding Melendres v. Arpaio, et al., CV07-2513. (C-06-15-477-M-00) Chairman Chucri called for a motion. Supervisor Hickman made a motion to direct counsel to file a pleading consistent with the direction given in Executive Session. The motion was seconded by Supervisor Kunasek. Motion carried unanimously (5-0). The Clerk announced that the following item was withdrawn, no action would be taken. 3. POSSIBILE ACTION REGARDING EDW. C. LEVY CO. V. MARICOPA COUNTY, TX2012-000384 Take action consistent with direction of the Board in executive session on May 27, 2015 regarding Edw. C. Levy Co. V Maricopa County, TX2012-000384.
