(C-06-15-166-M-00) Chairman Barney introduced the item, explaining that there was a need to appoint an administrator to this district because the current fire district board could not act, lacking a quorum. Supervisor Rogers indicated that she had been made aware of some issues with this fire district and the recent resignation of two of the board members. Since there was already a vacancy on the board, this left the board with only two members, therefore making it impossible for them to have a quorum. She stated that her office was recommending the appointment of Mike Fusco who was well qualified to act as administrator for the district until the election of a new member. Joy Gomez, representing the New Harquahala Generating Facility thanked the Board of Supervisors for taking swift action to appoint the administrator. She indicated that she had some concerns about recent issues at the fire district and was glad the administrator was appointed so quickly. She also stated that she looked forward to working with the County Attorney’s Office regarding some of her concerns.
