RESOLUTION NO. 14-1664 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GOODYEAR, MARICOPA COUNTY, ARIZONA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF GOODYEAR AND MARICOPA COUNTY FOR ANIMAL CARE AND CONTROL SERVICES. WHEREAS, the City of Goodyear and Maricopa County wish to enter into an agreement for animal care and control services; and WHEREAS, joint projects between the City of Goodyear and the Maricopa County allows the City to maximize effectiveness and minimize costs. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GOODYEAR, MARICOPA COUNTY, ARIZONA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The City Manager or designee is hereby authorized to execute the attached IGA entitled "Agreement for Animal Control Services" between Maricopa County and the City of Goodyear. SECTION 2. The City Manager or designee is authorized to conduct all negotiations and • to execute any and all documents necessary to carry out the intent of this Resolution and IGA. SECTION 3. The term of this agreement shall be July 1, 2014 through June 30, 2018, subject to availability and appropriation of funds for renewal.
