Agenda Activity: Action Agenda No. C-44-05-014-0-02 Department: Planning & Development Category: Chief Regional Development Services Contact: Dennis Lindsey Phone 506-1067 Return to: Dennis Lindsey Location: County Administration Building Action Requested: Approve, and authorize the Chairman to execute, the Third Amendment to Lease Agreement L-7367 with 501 N. 44th Street LLC, Lessor, for the county’s leased office space at 501 North 44th Street in Phoenix. First Amendment is under C-44-10-094-1-00. Board required information: (NONE) The Third Amendment to Lease Agreement L-7367 adjusts the effective date of Lessee’s reversion of 6,295 square feet of office space on the first floor of the leased Premises to March 31, 2015, and adjusts the effective date for the reduction in the rent expense, the reduction in the HVAC credit, and the reduction in the parking space allocation to April 1, 2015. Additional Information: This 3rd Lease Amendment extends the occupancy date for certain first floor space in order to allow the County’s OET department sufficient time to facilitate a permanent relocation of the network equipment serving Regional Development Services (RDS) to an off-site data center facility. This permanent move of network equipment to the off-site data center allows the County to avoid an intermediate relocation of the RDS network equipment within the leased Premises and eliminates the need for certain electrical/mechanical tenant improvements at an estimated cost of approximately $110,000. In addition, forgoing an intermediate move of the network equipment will avoid the inherent operational risk associated with a secondary move. This type of Real Estate item was generally endorsed by the Facility Review Committee during August of 2013. Expenditure Impact by FY: FY 14-15 $730,381 Performance Information: Program: Administrative Services Program Activity: Office of the Director Performance measure: Percent of satisfied customers Anticipated Results: Approval of this item will allow the department to cost effectively serve the public without disruption
