B. Project Proposal Form
A detailed description of the proposed project.
This project is to purchase an MILO interactive digital force-options simulator and
training equipment for law enforcement. This equipment will be used to increase
professionalism and standards of constables using firearms while on duty. This
equipment is used to train professional law enforcement organizations across the United
States. It meets the AZPOST standards for situational training required of all AZPOST
officers and all Constables completing firearms training. This equipment will give the
Constables of Maricopa County the ability to complete the situational training at least
twice a year even though its only required once every year.
An explanation of needs for equipment purchase.
The needs for this equipment are to increase the availability of the Milo training
simulator to Constables and Deputy Constables. At this time the Constables must rely on
other agencies for this equipment. The current situation makes it very difficult for
Constables and Deputy Constables to receive their AZPOST mandatory training.
An explanation of outcomes to be expected from the funding proposal.
The additional training would give the Constables and Deputies Constables the
opportunity to make sound judgment in critical situations along with increasing their
professionalism during the performance of their duties. This would allow them to meet
the AZPOST requirements.
