STATEMENT OF PROPOSAL CONDITIONS
This Proposal from Bull HN Information Systems Inc. (“Bull”) is based on the information that
Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office has provided. Your needs may change and only you can determine
whether this Proposal meets your specific business needs. THEREFORE, THIS PROPOSAL DOES
NOT CONSTITUTE OR CONTAIN ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES,
INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF
MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. BULL DOES NOT
WARRANT THAT THE USE OF THE SERVICES OR SOFTWARE PRODUCTS WILL BE
UNINTERRUPTED OR ARE ERROR-FREE.
All references in the Bull Proposal to your requirements and specifications shall mean only as they are
defined in the procurement documents. This Proposal and the Statement of Work is subject to the
parties entering into and signing this Statement of Work as an Amendment to Sole Source Contract
14071-SS.

1.0 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
1.1 CUSTOMER REQUIREMENTS
Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office (the County) has decided to refresh the
hardware of their GCOS8 environment. The new system, a NovaScale
9027/541which requires the GCOS8 SR8 Operating System, and a Virtuo NV
Virtual Tape Library, will be installed at the County’s new data center in a test
environment, while the Country continues to perform production workloads on
their current system. When the County has completed their testing of the
NovaScale 9027/541 and Virtuo NV the County will move their production
workload to the new system.
2.0 STATEMENT OF WORK
2.1 OBJECTIVES
Bull to provide Consultant(s) to configure the County’s new NovaScale
9027/541 and Virtuo NV and provide assistance in migrating the County’s
workload to the new hardware environment.
2.2 DELIVERABLES
The deliverables of this service, qualified by the conditions specified in Section
2.3 Conditions of this Statement of Work, are as follows:
1. Configuration of the County’s new NovaScale 9027/541 and Virtuo NV
in a test environment.
2. Configuration of the GCOS8 SR8 Operating System Software.
3. Assistance in moving the County’s production environment to the
NovaScale 9027/541 and Virtuo NV.
2.3 CONDITIONS
Bull’s services are available Monday through Friday, excluding Bull holidays,
from 8AM to 5PM customer local time.
For those services that require a system interruption, the Bull Consultant will
negotiate a mutually agreeable schedule with the customer so as to minimize
disruption of data processing services to end users.
Completion of services is subject to the availability of resources and the timely
completion of the County’s responsibilities as described in the Customer’s
Responsibilities section (2.6) of this Statement of Work.
A service that requires updated software should not be scheduled until all update
media is available on-site.
This service will be completed in two (2) phases. The first phase will be
performed at Bull’s facility and will consist of configuring the NovaScale
9027/541, the GCOS8 SR8 Operating System Software, the Virtuo NV, and
loading of the County’s applications and data for their test environment. The
second phase will be performed at the County’s facility and consist of assisting

the County in the restoring of the County’s current applications and data for
their production environment.
A portion of this Service will be performed at Bull’s facility in Phoenix, Arizona
and a portion of this Service will be performed via telecommunications
connection to the County’s Systems except as otherwise specified.
2.4 ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA
The Configuration of the NovaScale 9027/541, the GCOS8 SR8 Operating
System Software, and Virtuo NV has been completed and the system has been
made ready for the County to perform their testing.
And, the County has moved their production environment to the NovaScale
9027/541 and Virtuo NV or thirty (30) calendar days have elapsed from the date
the system was turned over to the County for their testing; whichever occurs
first.
2.5 BULL RESPONSIBILITIES
Bull will provide a qualified Consultant(s) who will do the following for the
County:
Phase 1 – Test environment
1. Meet with the County to determine and document the County’s
configuration requirements for the new NovaScale 9027/541 and Virtuo NV.
2. Configure the NovaScale 9027/541 and Virtuo NV per the documented
requirements at Bull’s facility.
3. Transport any site specific patches/alters/modules being used on the
County’s current SR7 GCOS8 Operating System to the new system’s SR8
GCOS8 Operating System.
4. Install updates that have been released by Bull at the time of the staging at
Bull’s facility.
5. Transport the NovaScale 9027/541 and Virtuo NV to the County’s new data
center.
6. Assist in the installation of the NovaScale 9027/541 and Virtuo NV at the
County’s new data center.
7. Assist the County, as necessary, restoring the County’s applications and data
on the NovaScale 9027/541 and Virtuo NV for their test environment.
Phase 2 – Cut over.
Assist the County, as necessary, in the restoring of the County’s applications
and data on the NovaScale 9027/541 and Virtuo NV for their production
environment.

2.6 CUSTOMER’S RESPONSIBILITIES
The County must:
1. Assign knowledgeable individual(s) to participate in the system
configuration activity.
2. Gather and provide Bull with all materials required for successful
completion of this project.
3. Provide access to network and system resources, computer time, and
assistance as required for the NovaScale 9027/541 and Virtuo NV
configuration.
4. Provide Bull with adequate system time and resources on the County’s
systems to perform this service.
5. Provide remote data communications access to the County’s systems from
the Bull facility in Phoenix, Arizona.
6. Develop a test plan for the new system. The testing must be performed with
the County current unmodified production applications.
7. Determine if the NovaScale 9027/541 and Virtuo NV are functioning as
their current system and make the decision to move their production
workload to the new system.
8. Perform system/data saves of their current system and perform the restores
to the new system at cut-over time.
9. Transport the magnetic media from the current Virtuo system to their new
data center and install that media in the new Virtuo system.
3.0 AVAILABILITY
The actual start date of this service will be negotiated based on the County’s
desired start date and the availability of the Bull Consultant(s) who will provide
the service.
4.0 EXPIRATION DATE
This proposal will expire on August 29, 2014 after which revalidation will be
necessary.

5.0 PRICING
Bull will perform the Services described in this Statement of Work for $40,000.
Additions or expansion of the Services described in this Statement of Work will
result in additional charges.
