FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT
Between
THE STATE OF ARIZONA
And
MARICOPA COUNTY
THIS FIRST AMENDMENT is dated to be effective as of the date of the last party’s signature and modifies
that Interagency Service Agreement (“Agreement”), effective September 25, 2013, between the State of
Arizona, acting through the Arizona Department of Administration (“ADOA”) and Maricopa County
(“County”) (collectively, “Parties”).
RECITALS:
1. ADOA and the County have agreed to modify the terms of the Agreement.
2. The parties desire to evidence their agreement by execution of this First Amendment.
NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants and conditions herein contained and for
other good and valuable consideration the parties agree as set forth below.
AGREEMENT:
1. Section 7. Responsibilities of the County. Part 7d shall be revised to read, “Participating judges
shall not be eligible for any medical waiver payment(s) provided to County employees who decline
medical coverage.”
2. Section 12. Term of Agreement. The Agreement’s term is hereby extended for one (1) year from
June 30, 2014 to June 30, 2015.
3. Except as set forth in this First Amendment, the Agreement shall remain in full force and effect.

Attorney General Intergovernmental Agreement Determination
