AMENDMENT TO THE
INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT
BETWEEN
MARICOPA COUNTY
ADMINISTERED BY ITS
HUMAN SERVICES DEPARTMENT
AND
CITY OF SCOTTSDALE
I. The purpose of Amendment #3 is to address the following items:
A. Revise “Agreement Expiration Date” on Cover Page of original agreement as follows:
June 30, 2014 to June 30, 2015.
B. Revise Section III Work Statement, paragraph C, Service Delivery, Item 1 d, e, f, and j
and Item 2 a, b, c, and d as follows:
Previous:
1. The Department will provide and maintain:
d. Career Guidance Specialist services once a month;
e. Training Specialist once a month for job search workshops;
f. Marketing information on regular basis or as needed.
2. The City will:
a. Work with MWC to plan, implement and support two (2) job fairs on an annual
basis;
b. Provide office space for MWC Career Guidance Specialist one day a month
ensuring that at last three (3) individuals are scheduled for
appointments/referrals;
c. Provide a classroom on a monthly basis for job search basic workshop and
ensure a minimum of five (5) referrals;
d. Ensure all new customers are registered into the database system (Virtual One
Stop – VOS or any other approved State system);
Change to:
1. The Department will provide and maintain:
d. Welcome Team member services twice a month for direct contact with job
seekers and career center staff;
e. Training and materials to perform employability skills workshop;

f. Marketing and information forms on a regular basis or as needed based on
upcoming events;
Add:
j. Participate in 6 yearly management meetings to identify opportunities and
improve service delivery and integration of services.
2. The City will:
a. Work with MWC to plan, implement and support business service activities to
include job recruitment, customized training, workshops and seminars that
promote employment and economic development;
b. Provide office space for MWC representatives when agreed upon services or
information is required of both the City of Scottsdale and Maricopa County;
c. Participate in 6 yearly management meetings to identify opportunities and
improve service delivery and integration of services;
d. Ensure all new customers complete HSD information form that are utilizing
employment type services;
C. Revise Section III Work Statement, paragraph D, Reporting Requirements, Item 1 as
follows:
Previous:
1 Provide monthly statistics of numbers served in the computer lab, VOS system
registration and workshop attendance to the MWC East Valley One Stop Center
Coordinator, Terry Farrell 602-372-9748 tfarrell@mail.maricopa.gov by the 7th
business day of the following month;
Change to:
1. Provide monthly statistics of numbers serviced in the computer lab, number of
visits, number of workshops and job leads to MWC Program Supervisor Diana
Shepherd 602-372-9739 shepherdd@mail.maricopa.gov by the 7th business day
of the following month.
II. The foregoing paragraph I contains all the changes made by this Amendment. All other terms and
conditions of the original Agreement remain the same and in full force and effect.
