A RESOLUTION OF THE CIW COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TEMPE, ARIZONA, REPEALING RESOLUTION NO.
2013,11 WHICH AUTHORIZED THE DESIGNATION OF THE
CITY LIMITS OF TEMPE, ARIZONA, AS A SEPARATE
COMMUNITY ACTION AGENCY.
WHEREAS, in Resolution No. 2013.11, the City of Tempe previously declared ib intent to approve the
designation of the corporate City limits of Tempe as a separate Community Action Agency;
WHEREAS, the State of Arizona has subsequently cancelled the process by which to procure a qualified
non-profit agency to provide services for lhe separate Community Action Agency within the City's corporate limits;
WHEREAS, it is the City's desire that there be no disruption of services to anti-poverty and human services
programs being carried out within the City limits, as referenced in 42 U.S.C. $ 9901;
WHEREAS, repealing the previously declared designation of the corporate City limits of Tempe as a
separate Community Action Agency will allow Maricopa County to continue to fund these services for the residents of
Tempe;
NOU THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPE, ARIZONA,
as follows:
1. That Resolution No. 2013.11 is repealed.
2. That the City Council authorizes the Mayor or his designee to execute any documents necessary for the
purpose set forth in this Resolution No. R2014.88.
