Subject: Housing Opportunities for Service Disabled Veterans
Solicitation AAG014-00003785
Dear Mr. Horne:
The Maricopa County Human Services Department (MCHSD) is pleased to provide a response to
Solicitation 400003785 - Housing Opportunities for Service Disabled Veterans (HOSDV).
MCHSD is a social services department that provides a full spectrum of services to vulnerable
populations—adults, youth, and families—in five important areas: education, basic needs (food,
shelter, and clothing), workforce development, utility and housing assistance, and community
development. MCHSD has the experience in administering this type of homeowner rehabilitation
for accessibility program and is able to leverage other department resources to assist eligible
Veterans to make their home accessible. For eligible Veteran homeowners, MCHSD will manage the
HOSDV as a resource to its housing weatherization/rehabilitation program.
If awarded the contract, proper proof of insurance will be provided to AGO by MCHSD. Maricopa
County has not been debarred, suspended or otherwise lawfully precluded from participation in
any public procurement activity with any Federal, State, or local government.
I, Denny Barney, Chairman of the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, am authorized by the
organization to contractually obligate the organization and accept the requirements of this Request
for Proposal. Amy Jacobson is authorized to negotiate the contract on behalf of the organization.
If you have any questions, please contact Amy Jacobson at (602) 372-1528.
ircerely,
