This First Amendment (“Amendment No. 1”) to the Lease Agreement for Use of Peoria
Community Center between the City of Peoria (“City”) and Maricopa County by and through its
Department of Public Health – Woman/Infant/Children (WIC) Programs (“County”) is made and
entered into by, and between, City and County, together, (the “Parties”).
RECITALS
A. City and County are parties to that certain Lease Agreement approved by the
Maricopa County Board of Supervisors under agenda item C-86-14-036-1-
00 and dated October 9, 2013, for County’s use of office space at the Peoria
Community Center at 8335 W. Jefferson Street, Peoria, Arizona (the
“Agreement”); and
B. City and County now mutually desire to amend the Agreement to
immediately terminate the Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the foregoing recitals and of the mutual
promises contained herein, the Parties agree as follows:
1. Term.
The Agreement is terminated upon full execution of this Amendment No. 1.
2. Effective Date.
The effective date of this Amendment No. 1 is the latter date of execution by Maricopa
County or the City of Peoria.
3. Modification & Conflict of Interest.
The foregoing paragraphs contain all the changes made by this Amendment No. 1. All
other terms and conditions of the original agreement remain unchanged. This Agreement
is subject to the provisions of A.R.S. § 38-511.
