AMENDMENT NO. 1
MARICOPA COUNTY BENEFITS PLAN (FOURTH AMENDMENT AND RESTATEMENT)
The Maricopa County Benefits Plan (Fourth Amendment and Restatement), at Article II,
Definitions, Section 2.16, is amended as follows:
2.16 Employee. Any person, other than an independent contractor or contract employee,
who is employed by the County for work on a regular basis at least 30 19 hours per week and is
eligible for employee benefits offered by the County to its employees. The term “Employee”
also includes (i) any person who, pursuant to the terms of a contract with the County (including
Intergovernmental Agreements such as those described in Section 7.4), is entitled to employee
benefits; (ii) any employee of the Superior Court of the State of Arizona in and for Maricopa
County whose Compensation is paid by the County or through the County payroll and is
employed by the Superior Court for work on a regular basis at least 30 19 hours per week; and
(iii) any officers or supervisors of the County (not including independent contractors) who are
employed by the County for work on a regular basis at least 30 19 hours per week.
