Comments: After careful consideration, my office has determined that a salary increase is required for our Chief
Deputy Assessor, Mr. Tim Boncoskey. As Chief Deputy, Tim is responsible for the daily operation of the
Assessor's Office and it 325 plus employees.
In June 2013, after the appointment of Keith Russell to Justice of Peace; Tim stepped up and served as both the
Acting Assessor and Chief Deputy until my unanimous appointment on August 19, 2013.
Mr. Boncoskey has proven his worth many times throughout his 7 plus year tenure as Chief Deputy Assessor.
As the County's longest tenured Chief Deputy, he continues to go above and beyond while always searching for
new, innovative technologies, and business processes to make the Maricopa County Assessor's Office more
efficient and a leader in the industry.
Tim has actively been involved with the International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO) and was elected
to the board representing the entire west region. Tim was also voted IAA° International Member of the Year in
2012, for which you acknowledged him through placing his name on the Pillar of Honor.
As you know, our office is embarking on a major technology project by replacing our CAMA system. This project
is critical to the success of our office, the County and other taxing jurisdictions. It is imperative we have Tim's
vision, leadership and skills throughout this multiple year project.
