DELEGATION OF AUTHORITY TO THE TRANSPORTATION DIRECTOR
TO SHARE SOFTWARE APPLICATIONS DEVELOPED BY OR FOR
THE MARICOPA COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
WHEREAS, Maricopa County is an entity established under the laws of the State of
Arizona, and
WHEREAS, the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors has appointed the Department
of Transportation Director to exercise the duties provided in Title 11, Chapter 3, Article
9, and
WHEREAS, Maricopa County staff and or consultants have developed applications
such as for the analysis of motor vehicle crash data, and
WHEREAS, other political subdivisions in the State of Arizona have expressed an
interest in utilizing the applications developed by or for Maricopa County,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors hereby
delegates to the Department of Transportation Director the authority to share with other
political subdivisions of the State of Arizona, software applications developed by or for
its Department of Transportation when the Department owns the source code.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director is authorized to share these software
applications with other political subdivisions to utilize at no cost to that entity.
ADOPTED by the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, Maricopa County, Arizona,
