2026 Stormwater Pollution Prevention Poster Contest • To meet our permit requirements for public participation and outreach and to raise awareness of stormwater pollution, we have held a poster contest for the last 17 years. • Over the last year, 3rd _ 6th grade students in Maricopa County were encouraged to submit posters supporting the stormwater pollution prevention message. Stormwater Runoff is a Leading Cause of Water Pollution in the U.S. • Over 500 entries • 22 schools • Voted on by county employees based on art style, originality, and how well they convey the message “Clean Stormwater for AZ Wildlife.” • Two categories: 3rd/4th grade & 5th/6th grade. • Winners are featured in the calendar and receive an award certificate and prizes from our sponsors.
