Action Requested:
Deem as advantageous for Maricopa County to sell, and authorize and approve the sale of,
approximately 450 square feet of real property (30’ X 30’ triangle), at the Avondale Family Health Clinic
located at the northwest corner of Van Buren and Eliseo Felix Jr. Way, to the City of Avondale for the
purchase price of $8,650.00, and authorize the Chairman to execute all necessary documents approved
by County Counsel for the sale of the property. The Facilities Review Committee supports the sale of the
property. THIS ITEM REQUIRES A UNANIMOUS APPROVAL OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS.
Board Required Information:
On August 20, 2008, the Board of Supervisors granted a Right of Entry (C-18-09-012-8-00) to the City to
begin construction of the traffic signal and negotiations for the purchase of the subject property. The
City of Avondale has made a written offer to purchase the 450 square feet for $8,650.00. This agenda
item will authorize the selling of the property for the installation and maintenance of a traffic signal at
the intersection of Van Buren and Eliseo Felix Jr. Way and will authorize the Chairman to execute all
necessary documents approved by County Counsel to sell the property.
