o After midnight are eligible to take a whole day on Wednesday as Civic Duty Leave.
• Friday before Election Day to Tuesday – Election Day (IT Only): For IT staff who assist
with voting location technology setups and support.
• Friday before Election Day to Wednesday after Election Day (Drivers Only): For drivers
who assist with packing, loading, and driving delivery trucks to and from vote centers.

Civic Duty Leave allows County Employees to support County Elections and replaces the regular
work hours they miss when they work an election (making them whole and not paying them
above their standard hours). This helps Elections staff for critical, large elections. Using County
employees provides consistency and reliability.
