Your request to add program income has been approved. I have saved your updated budget to your records and attached is the updated reimbursement spreadsheet. Emily is out today, but I will discuss with her your request to extend the contract when she is back! Let me know if you have any questions, thank you Kyleigh Kape Grant Auditor 1700 West Washington Street Suite 500 Phoenix, Arizona 85007 On Thu, Mar 26, 2026 at 3:13 PM MCAO Finance <mcaofin@mcao.maricopa.gov> wrote: Good afternoon: I hope you’re doing well. While I was out for a few days last week, it looks like there may have been a little confusion on our end, so I’m reaching out to make sure I’m aligned moving forward. Regarding the conversation between Kelly and you about purchasing binders, dividers, and colored paper: would you prefer that I submit a budget modification to remove the flash drives and replace that line with these items, or is your email below sufficient documentation for that change? I also wanted to check on the program income request. I’m assuming it has been approved, but I haven’t received an official notification yet. 2 Lastly, is there an opportunity to extend the program period by an additional quarter so we can provide the fourth AFIT training Kelly has scheduled for November? Thank you for your guidance. I appreciate your help as I get everything back on track following vacation. Thank you for your time today regarding the AFIT grant. In the grant, there is a line item for the purchase of flash drives in the amount of $480. There is also a line item listed for handouts for $3,840.00 Would it be okay if we use the $480 for the purchase of three ring binders in lieu of flash drives? We have found that flash drives are not effective for this type of four-day training. The participants need a visual tool where they can write down notes during the training. Also, some of the handouts they utilize during role plays would be difficult to access using a flash drive. 5 In addition, they use the notebooks long after the training for reference when they go to court to testify about their cases. In terms of the handouts, can some of that money be used to purchase colored paper for some of the handouts? The bulk of the handouts are printed on white paper but we do have some role plays and evaluations that are printed on colored paper to distinguish them from each day. Thank you and it was nice meeting both of you. Sincerely, Kelly Kelly Wills Program Coordinator Training and Development Bureau Maricopa County Attorney’s Office 225 W.
