FISCAL IMPACT: The total cost of this contract will not exceed $290,000. Sufficient funds have been appropriated in the Solid Waste Fund, Cost Center 3723 (Alley Maintenance Program/AMP) for anticipated expenditures during the current fiscal year and next fiscal year, contingent upon City Council approval of the City’s annual budget. RECOMMENDATION: Approve the contract renewal. BACKGROUND INFORMATION: (T25-004-01) On January 9, 2025, City Council approved the award of a one-year contract with four, one-year renewal options to Freightliner of Arizona, for the purchase of 10 cubic yard dump trucks. This purchase will be for one Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)- fueled dump truck that replaces a unit that has reached the end of its useful life. Dump trucks are utilized to support alley maintenance operations in the Public Works Department. If approved, this will be the first of four, one-year renewal options.
