REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION

ACTION:  Adopt a resolution authorizing the Tempe Fire Medical Rescue Chief or his designee to 
accept the 100 Club of Arizona Safety Enhancement Stipend award to the Tempe Fire Medical Rescue 
Department for the purpose of purchasing one (1) Fotokite Rooftop Package. (Resolution No. R2026.05)
FISCAL IMPACT:  The amount of the stipend award is $24,633.  Acceptance of the stipend does not 
require any matching City funds.  Sufficient budget appropriation for expenditure of this stipend award 
is authorized in the Restricted Revenue and Donations Fund (Fund 44) as part of the Fiscal Year 2025-
2026 adopted budget.
RECOMMENDATION:  Adopt Resolution No. R2026.05.
 
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:  The 4th Quarter 2025 100 Club of Arizona Safety Enhancement 
Stipend award is designated to cover the cost of purchasing one Fotokite Rooftop situational awareness 
equipment that will be utilized for daily operations for Fire Medical Rescue firefighters.
