A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
TEMPE, ARIZONA AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN 
AMENDMENT 
TWO 
TO 
 
INTERGOVERNMENTAL 
AGREEMENT NO. 19-0007451-I WITH THE STATE OF 
ARIZONA MODIFYING THE CITY’S MAINTENANCE 
RESPONSIBILITIES 
FOR 
THE 
TWO 
PEDESTRIAN 
BRIDGES AT ALAMEDA DRIVE AND AT THE WESTERN 
CANAL.
WHEREAS, the City of Tempe and State of Arizona have authority under A.R.S. § 11-951 
through 11-954 to enter into Intergovernmental Agreements; and,
WHEREAS, the State designed and constructed improvements on Interstate 10 (I-10), from 
Interstate 17 (I-17) to State Route 202 Loop (SR 202L), (the “Broadway Curve Project”); and,
WHEREAS, the Parties previously entered Intergovernmental Agreement No. 19-0007451-I 
and Amendment Two is intended to replace and supersede the current Exhibit A attached to the 
IGA (ADOT 7451) with a new Exhibit A that modifies the maintenance responsibilities for the 
two pedestrian bridges at Alameda Drive and at the Western Canal.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
TEMPE, ARIZONA as follows:
Section 1.  
The 
Mayor 
is 
authorized 
to 
execute 
Amendment 
Two 
to 
Intergovernmental Agreement No. 19-0007451-I with the State of Arizona.
Section 2.
The City Manager or Designee is authorized to take such further actions as 
may be necessary to carry out the purposes of this Resolution.

ARIZONA, this 8th day of January, 2026.
