31, 2025

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:  The City Council established the City of Tempe Housing Authority 
in 1975 to engage and assist in the development and operation of low-income housing under federal 
housing and urban development law. Federal public and assisted housing law requires that public 
housing agencies have a governing board. This update item provides detail specific to the Tempe 
Housing Authority's (THA) current events, program performance, and other Housing Services Division-
related activities.
