ACTION:  Award a professional services contract to FM Solutions Management, LLC for Project No. 
6708843U – Arc Flash Study – City Facilities – Phase 2.
FISCAL IMPACT:  The contract amount is $161,275. Funds to cover this contract, related costs and 
any future addenda are appropriated in Fiscal Year 2025/26 and future years, contingent upon City 
Council approval of the City’s annual budget, in the Capital Improvement Project No. 6708849 (Existing 
City Building Asset Management Program - Replacement & Repairs).
RECOMMENDATION:  Award contract
 
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:  This project will  conduct and update the 5-year arc flash studies 
of city facilities, including installation of one-line diagrams. Maintaining current arc flash studies is 
important for protection of city staff working around electrical equipment. This project will be performed 
at various buildings throughout the city in three phases. The phase 1, study of 17 facilities has been 
completed. 
This project will complete the Phase 2 study of 14 additional facilities. The Phase 3 study will be 
completed at a future date with a separate contract. 
Scope of Work:

Arc flash hazard labeling of equipment
•
Coordination with SRP and APS  to obtain short circuit values
•
Arc flash hazard analysis
