ACTION: Award a professional services contract to M. Arthur Gensler Jr. & Associates, Inc., dba 
Gensler, for Project No. 6309761B - Phase II of Tempe Diablo Stadium Complex Renovation.
FISCAL IMPACT: The contract amount is $2,601,119. Funds to cover this contract, related costs and 
any future addenda are appropriated in Fiscal Year 2025/26 and future years, contingent upon City 
Council approval of the City’s annual budget, in the Capital Improvement Project No. 6309761B (Phase 
II of Tempe Diablo Stadium Complex Renovation).
RECOMMENDATION:  Award contract
 
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Tempe Diablo Stadium was built in 1968 and holds slightly more 
than 9,500 people, making it the oldest and smallest stadium in the Cactus League. The second phase 
of the Diablo Master Plan will improve the infrastructure and fan experience and provide operational 
efficiencies as part of the shared vision for the complex to perform as a competitive venue with the 
Cactus League organization. This project will design, construct and implement renovations and 
improvements as part of the Diablo Stadium Master Plan and incorporate improvements identified in the 
Americans with Disabilities Act Transition Plan.
This contract is to design the planned improvements.
