RESOLUTION R20-05-05 
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL 
MIRAGE, ARIZONA, SUPPORTING THE CITY’S PARTICIPATION IN A 
COOPERATION 
AGREEMENT AND AMENDMENT NO. 3 TO THE 
AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY OF MARICOPA TO UNDERTAKE 
ESSENTIAL COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AND HOUSING ACTIVITIES 
UNDER THE COMMUNITY BLOCK GRANT (CDBG), HOME INVESTMENT 
PARTNERSHIP (HOME), EMERGENCY SOLUTIONS GRANTS (ESG), AND 
OTHER HUD-RELATED PROGRAMS FOR FEDERAL FISCAL YEAS 2021-
22, 2022-23, AND 2023-24.  
 
WHEREAS, the Maricopa County Human Services Department – Community 
Development Division is seeing approval of a cooperation agreement and amendment number 3 
to the agreement with the City of El Mirage to participate in the Maricopa County CDBG and 
HOME programs for federal fiscal years 2021-22, 2022-23, and 2023-24; and 
 
WHEREAS, the City of El Mirage, through the Development and Community Services 
Department, has been invited to enter into a cooperation agreement and amendment number 3 
with for CDBG and HOME program participation for federal fiscal years 2021-22, 2022-23, and 
2023-24;  
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council of El 
Mirage, in Maricopa County, Arizona: 
THAT, the Mayor and City Council authorize the City to enter into a cooperation 
agreement and amendment number 3 with Maricopa County to participate in the three-year 
cooperation agreement for fiscal years 2021-22, 2022-23, and 2023-24.
