ROLL CALL
Present: Mayor Alexis Hermosillo; Vice Mayor Roy Delgado; Councilmember Monica Dorcey;
Councilmember Anita Norton; Councilmember Mike Hutchinson; Councilmember David Shapera;
Councilmember Donna Winston

CALL TO ORDER - The meeting was held online and publicly with limited access; called to
order at 5:30 pm.

WORK SESSION PRESENTATION
 
1.
A presentation providing general information and highlights of the financial activity for the City of El
Mirage for FY 2020.  (Finance)
Finance Director Robert Nilles introduced Ms. Crimson Singleton of HintonBurdick CPA &
Advisors. A presentation by Ms. Singleton included financial audit and internal controls, financial
statements and findings.  No material weaknesses or significant deficiencies were noted. The State
Compliance Report shows an unmodified or "clean opinion" with no reportable findings.
Ms. Singleton provided a summary of the City's financial highlights as of June 30, 2020; this
included net position, accumulated depreciation, capital assets, total government long-term liabilities,
debt service payments, and fund balances and transfers.
Mr. Nilles stated the audit had been placed on tonight's regular council agenda for acceptance and
recognized Finance Manager Dana Williams for her hard work and contributions on this project.
