D R A F T SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL MIRAGE EL MIRAGE CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS 10000 N. EL MIRAGE ROAD 5:00 PM - WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 16, 2020 Minutes 1. ROLL CALL Present: Mayor Alexis Hermosillo; Vice Mayor Roy Delgado; Councilmember Monica Dorcey; Councilmember Anita Norton; Councilmember Kallimayor Richards; Councilmember David Shapera Absent: Councilmember Donna Winston 2. CALL TO ORDER - The meeting was called to order at 5:03 PM Council members were all present by phone through Microsoft Teams. 3. SPECIAL AGENDA 1. Consideration and action to approve a negotiated contract for employment, effective December 2020, for a new City Court Judge with a commencement date on or about January 11, 2021. (City Attorney/HR) Councilmember Norton asked if the1.5% retirement contribution was matching or an up-to amount and the City Attorney stated it is dependent on the type of plan chosen. She also asked if sick leave and vacation accruals are consistent with other employees and was advised they are consistent. Vice Mayor Dorcey moved to approve a negotiated contract for employment, effective December 2020, for a new City Court Judge with a commencement date on or about January 11, 2021; seconded by Councilmember Norton. Vote: 6 - 0 Passed - Unanimously 4. ADJOURNMENT - The meeting adjourned at 5:12 PM Councilmember Delgado moved to adjourn the meeting at 5:12 PM; seconded by Vice Mayor Dorcey.
