Fiber optic cable will provde a 20x nextwork speed increase between the facilities. The scope of this project includes boring services, conduit, fiber optic cabling and interconnects. New The project began with $125,000 in funds and approximately half was spent as matching funds for the City's portion of the ITS project. The ITS project provided the necessary fiber infrastructure to which the City buildings will be connected. Connecting the City buildings with fiber optic cabling will eliminate the need for the Cox metro ethernet, providing a savings of approximately $36000 per year.
