Good morning, I hope this message finds you well. I'm
messaging in support of Keep Us Rural LLC, in hopes that my
voice or my vote can make a difference. I have a family of 6,
me, my husband and our 4 children (ages 10, 9, 6 and 2)
moved here to Wittmann in 2022 from Phoenix in hopes of
having a promising better quality of life. Crime rates are
through the roof in Phoenix on top of how crowded and polluted
the city is all the way to sun city we searched high and low for
the perfect town and land to raise our family on and one that
we fell in love with so when we found Wittmann we moved here
in thoughts and hopes that we would be living a quiet country
life. Now that BNSF wants to build next to our homes,
potentially taking all of that away, we are extremely concerned.
I'm very worried about our resources being drained, the traffic
that's going to increase and the beautiful sky that would be
filled with pollution, our homes will go down in value. I've done
a lot of research on the Meta Plant in Georgia and their exact
problems are our concerns and future if BNSF is approved for
this 4,300 acre hub. Thank you for taking your time to read this.

I cannot express my displeasure in strong enough terms,
regarding this entire BNSF project in Wittman. Our quality of life
will be compromised with the increased traffic of vehicles and
trains. There is no question our property values will be
impacted in an extremely negative fashion. We fought in 2009
to make our 2 RR crossings QUIET ZONES.. A blessing. Will
those go away???
If you polled SCW residents you will find 98% oppose this
issue. That is 26,000 voters. While we understand the Fed regs
may not allow action for us by the Maricopa Board on some
parts of the plan, please use everything at your disposal to stop
it. Please fight for us,!!!

I strongly oppose the BNSF Railway project in Wittman if it
means that much of the truck traffic will go through the Grand
(HWY 60) and the 303 intersection. This intersection is already
greatly over capacity due to the growth in new local residential
housing. The 22,000 vehicle trips per day that you sight could
not possibly be accommodated.

My husband and I are not in favor of the BNSF Railway project.
Bell Road and Union Hills Roads are already too overwhelmed
with traffic with all the development out past Sun City in the last
27 years since we moved to Peoria. The congestion is already
out of control. The vehicle air, noise, ground pollution has
already killed all the cactus and orange trees that once lined
the sides and was in the median of Bell Road throughout the
Sun City/Peoria area. The traffic to and from the 101, 303, and
local P83 area is already atrocious. It will just get worse. Thank

My husband and I oppose the BNSF Railroad Hub near
Wittman, AZ. We don’t oppose the hub, but the location.
This proposed railroad hub near a residential area of five
million people will cause a multitude of problems:
-added traffic problems and costs to build roads for the added
22,000 trucks a day. The intersection of the 303 and Grand in
Surprise is already a problem.
-a large area of asphalt and concrete will cause flooding in a
large area.
-air pollution from the added trucks and trains.
-noise pollution 24/7.
-light pollution.
BNSF owns land further out in the desert and away from large
residential areas that would better suit this hub.

I am against BNSF's 4,321 acre project near Wittman AZ
because of [1] air pollution from moving & idling train diesel
engines, [2] air pollution from moving & idling diesel trucks, [3]
noise pollution from moving train car connectors,
[4] noise pollution from moving train steel wheels on steel rails,
[5] noise pollution from moving & idling transfer machinery, [6]
light pollution from 24/7 tall lights, [7] light disruption of bird
immigration flight routes, [8] extra traffic congestion & accident
potential from 22,000 extra trucks per day on Grand Avenue,
[9] extra trucks cutting through SCW, [10] disruption of private
ranch zoning that would financially those folks who relied on
the zoning for decades, and [11] all of the above impact on
future SCW home resale values.

Absolutely opposed to the RR.. With all of the congestion we
have in this area now, 163rd and Grand Av, which I believe will
never be alleviated no matter what we are told, This will not
help our situation. We need some semblance of desert and

I believe that a thorough, objective review of the proposed
BNSF logistics complex would conclude that the scale and
potential negative long-term impact necessitates that you vote
in the negative. I am not pro growth and the Route 303 corridor
and TSMC are positive for the West Valley. The congestion and

I am writing this letter concerning the land that is being zoned for the BNSF.
Our Address is - 21234 W Caravaggio Ln 
Our family just moved in and we really love the area and all the peace and quiet that the land brings
and provides! It is to my knowledge that there is going to be a significant amount of land that will taken
over for the build of BNSF and with that there will be nothing sustainable of peace or quiet that we will
be able to enjoy. Not only that but all the traffic that it will bring to the neighborhood and pollution that
we will have to deal with. With all the livestock that lives in the area along with us there is no way that
we will be able to bear the fumes that the trains and semi’s will bring. How is it possible that you can
put something of that nature so close to a neighborhood that has been here for over 20 years. With
that being said, it’s just not right to take away the lively hood of all of us that live out here. We moved
out here to have what we have and not to be bothered by being too close to the city life. This type of
business/build needs to be in the city so that the freight coming in is closer for delivery less pollution in
the air all around! I can go on forever about pollution and semi drivers, but I will leave it at that. Please
take this in consideration if you lived here would you want something like this in your backyard?
