Although there are several LPR databases for purchase, Vigilant Solutions is the vendor of choice for LPR databases used by law enforcement nationwide. Vigilant Solutions is considered a sole source provider because only they offer database access that is restricted to law enforcement agencies as well as offer public database access. Vigilant Solutions is the owner of the largest database with exclusive applications that are useful to law enforcement. These exclusive applications include: e Amapping system that works with agency provided data. e An application that tracks an LPR hit, or a vehicle visit to a specific location entered by the user agency. e An application for pre-determined data to be entered by the user agency to set up geo-zones to identify serial offenders.
